Adventures with Chippy – Day 4

I think Chippy is enjoying his new threads! He seemed quite content this morning. Reese left him a snack of Goldfish crackers – elfs need to eat, too!

We’re going to need to speak with him about his crumbs though…

Todd’s grandmother, Mimi, made certain we had plenty of Christmas decor in our home. Early in our relationship, she took me shopping to pick out some festive mugs and plates at Crate & Barrel. This snowman collection is what I chose. Every year I get the mugs and plates out, I remember our adventure in Southlake and shopping for Christmas – Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, Talbot’s, small boutique stores, and a bite to eat at Mi Cocina to round out the trip!

I do enjoy the memories that present themself when bringing out the Christmas cheer. From ornaments gifted to me as a child, to the ornaments we obtain every year to commemorate the year, to the plates and mugs, a lot of cookie baking, or even the Rudolph stuffy, while Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ, it is also a reminder of our own history and the family and friends we’ve shared the joy with over the years.

I’m out of my Christmas in a Cup, but the Starbuck’s Sumatra seems to be doing the trick on this Monday morning (plus it’s Ugly Sweater Mondays at work)!

Cheers to the many memories from the past, in the process of being made, and those yet to come!
